The busier you are, the bigger impact you’ll have - right? Not always. In fact, I would argue not usually.

Many times our churches are doing so much, that not only are all our ministries and their volunteers overworked, but our people are so busy attending our “events” that they don’t have time to go into the world and love people. (more…)

moving on (and up) Monday, September 10th, 2007

Yesterday was a huge day for us @ MapleGrove. We were privileged to help 13 people be baptized, and then we celebrated with a picnic lunch and an afternoon of family fun. It was the highlight of the year for the church and our family. (more…)

to the moon, and beyond Monday, September 3rd, 2007

The other night I couldn’t sleep for some unknown (at the time) reason, so I got up and went outside to see what all the light was about. It had been a full moon a few hours ago when I first laid down trying to sleep.

I had heard something about a lunar eclipse at around 4a so I thought “what the heck” maybe I should take a look, since I can’t sleep anyway. I would not have gotten up this early on purpose, but since I was already there… maybe I should record this for the kids to see.
